Imation™ Rainbow™Color Proofing System FAQs
Q: What causes a 'disk is full' message when proofing across the network?
- The Rainbow™software requires a minimum of 160MB free hard disk space. Check the amount of
free space.
- If there is 'Postscript Scratch Space' allocated, this amount of space will not be available
for spooling.
- Check the contents of the Rainbow™ Job File folder to ensure that all previously proofed
files have been deleted. If there is one job in the Queue, there should be only one file in this
folder. Note: with Rainbow™ Software v4.0, this folder is the default location for saving spooled files and may
contain more than one file.
- If running with sufficient RAM allocation for max processing speed (per Operator's Guide), check the Imation Rainbow™ Temp folder to ensure that there is no Page Image file. Note: this
file should not be created if the optimum amount of RAM is assigned and will auto delete if the
RAM allocation is increased after previously operating with less.
- If you have selected LaserWriter Driver 8.X, this causes the PostScript file to be written
first to the workstation hard disk that contains the system software, then the file is sent across
the network. If this local hard disk doesn't have sufficient space to hold the file, a "disk is full"
error occurs.
